How Does Your Heart Work?

This page will help you learn about your heart!  Follow the instructions using the links to help guide you through your learning.  We will be using information contained on the KidsHealth.org website to help us learn.  Don't forget to use the comments section for questions, comments and to let me know when you finish.  HAVE FUN!


Start by clicking the link and watching this movie from KidsHealth.org:

Next, use this link to read about your heart and how it works and then answer the questions in your science notebook.  Remember to use full sentences!

Read About Your Heart

Questions:

1)  Why is your heart important and what does it do?
2)  What is circulation and how does it work?
3)  What is an EKG?
4)  Describe what is meant by the term pulse.
5)  List 5 things you can do to keep your heart healthy.



Now, take your new found knowledge, click the link and try to label the diagram.....when you have it right copy the answers into the diagram in your notebook. (I have included a picture from the link of what the diagram looks like for you)
